SNUG AS A BUG IN A TRAILER

Well, it's not done yet, but we're getting closer. Steve completely closed and sealed the back of the trailer, so now we're moving on to the front end, and then it's my turn...the inside! On sunday night before Steve began tearing up the front, he pulled me inside. He had set up a little space heater in the trailer. It was a cold cold night, so he wanted to test out how warm we could keep it in the trailer. You have to remember, when we brought this little baby home, it was ridiculously hot and now the seasons have changed so we're getting to see just what it's made of.

It was nice and warm and cozy. Me and my guy just sat in that little trailer, our little trailer. We imagined how much nicer it would be with cozy blankets, children tucked in, him and I sipping on something warm while sitting at the table. We got excited thinking about the trips to come and our hopes for next summer road trips. The cold air from outside couldn't even touch our dreaming inside. Sitting across from this man i've been building a life with, loving and dreaming with, it was fun to talk about our next adventure. Although we aren't ready for that first adventure in the trailer just yet, it sure is nice to dream.

but there is still work to be done, so as snug as we were in that trailer just him and I, we know that there is an even bigger pay off when we are done! So back to work, we...or should I say he goes

Today's Reflection:
Do you ever think about heaven? If I can find this much warmth and love inside a little unfinished, wood rotted trailer, how much more will I find in heaven? The idea of this humbles me. I don't know all the answers or even many of the answers to what heaven will be like. Steve and I sometimes play the "Do you think, there will be ice cream in Heaven" game, you know, when you try to imagine what heaven will be like. Do you think there will be a little trailer for us?

"What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all—life healed and whole."
